India are aiming for a clean sweep over Afghanistan in Chennai

India have already sealed the ODI series against Afghanistan with two wins, and now, they will be playing the final ODI of the three-match series on June 20, 2026, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The hosts have played a dominating brand of cricket against Afghanistan, and both the batters and bowlers are showing their great cricketing skills.

Captain Shubman Gill is leading the team from front as he played two impressive knock of 84* (66) and 154 (110) in first and second ODI, respectively. Now, India will be aiming for a clean sweep over Afghanistan; however, the conditions at Chennai will favour Afghanistan’s spinners a lot.

India have won 5 games out of 6 ODI matches played against Afghanistan so far in International Cricket; therefore, it will be quite difficult for the visitors to beat India on their home soil, but they have pretty impressive stats in Chennai.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that Harshit Rana has been added to India’s squad for the third ODI against Afghanistan. Harshit has successfully completed his rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) and has now joined the Indian squad in Chennai.
