BCCI names replacement for INJURED Harshit Rana & Varun Chakravarthy for England ODIs & Zimbabwe T20Is

Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy got injured during the England T20Is.
Indian Cricket Team have faced a big blow ahead of the three-match ODI series against England and T20Is against Zimbabwe. Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy, who faced injuries during the T20Is against Three Lions, have been ruled out of their respective campaigns.
Varun Chakravarthy, who is India’s key spinner in the white-ball formats, featured in the first three T20Is against England. The right-arm spinner bagged one wicket each in the first two clashes, before going wicketless in the third game.
Rana was part of the Ireland T20I series in June and played in both matches, clinching a total of four wickets. He did not got an opportunity to bowl in the first game against England as it was washed out after 1st innings. In the second and third T20Is, he took one and two wickets respectively.
Later, both Rana and Chakravarthy were released from the squad for 4th & 5th T20I in Bristol on July 9. At the toss, Iyer revealed that both were unavailable for selection due to injuries.
Now, both of them have also been ruled out of the upcoming campaigns. Harshit has been ruled out of the ODI series against England, while Varun will miss Zimbabwe T20Is.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the official statement and stated:
“Rana reported a sudden onset of discomfort in his right hamstring during the third T20I against England at Trent Bridge. Subsequent scans revealed a Grade 1 hamstring injury. He has been ruled out of the forthcoming ODI series against England and will report to the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE) for further assessment and management.
“Chakaravarthy also reported a sudden onset of discomfort in his left hamstring during the third T20I against England. An MRI scan subsequently revealed a Grade 2 hamstring injury. Based on specialist medical advice, he has been ruled out of the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe. He will report to the BCCI COE for further management.”
Prince Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi replace Harshit Rana & Varun Chakravarthy

The BCCI added Prince Yadav as replacement for Rana in India’s squad for the ODI series against England. Spinner Ravi Bishnoi has been added to the T20I squad against Zimbabwe after Chakravarthy’s ouster. Both Prince and Bishnoi were part of the T20I series against Ireland and England.
Adding further, BCCI stated:
‘The Men’s Selection Committee has named Prince Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi as replacements for Harshit Rana and Varun Chakaravarthy in India’s ODI and T20I squads, respectively.”
