BCCI's net worth revealed; 28 times more than next best Cricket Australia

And now a report has truly shown how rich BCCI really is when compared to other cricketing boards in the world. BCCI earns as much as 28 times that of its Australian counterpart. To be precise, BCCI’s net worth is USD 2.25 billion (INR 18,700 crore).
A report in Cricbuzz stated that while BCCI is valued at over INR 18,000 crore, Cricket Australia’s net worth is INR 660 crore (USD 79 million). Third in the charts is England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB), which is valued at USD 59 million.
In many countries, the term “sport” encompasses a variety of games. However, in India, it means cricket, the favored game for over 90% of those who watch sports on the screen.
BCCI accounts for 85.88% of the combined net worth of the top 10 boards, as per the report.
CSA to earn huge money from ongoing India tour of South Africa
Team India are currently in South Africa. The first T20I was washed out due to rain. India’s tour of South Africa consists of 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs, and 2 tests in the month-long tour.
And this 30 days of cricket action is expected to pump about USD 68.7 million into CSA’s purse. Mouthwatering numbers are expected by CSA, as it means about USD 8.6 million per match or USD 2.29 million per day. This money is said to wipe out losses of USD 6.3 million, USD 10.5 million, and USD 11.7 million CSA have incurred over the last three financial years.
