₹270-Crore Deal Locked for IPL 2026! BCCI signs partnership deal with AI platform for three years: Reports

Gemini’s rival AI company, ChatGPT, is already associated with the WPL.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has secured a partnership deal worth INR 270 crore from Google Gemini ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026). This deal is likely to remain for the next three editions.
Confirming the information, a BCCI official told PTI, “The deal is for three years and reinforces IPL’s global appeal.” Currently, the TATA Group holds the title sponsorship rights for the Indian Premier League. The upcoming IPL season is scheduled to start on March 26th, with the final set to be held on May 31st.
The new partnership aims to drive technological improvements in the Indian Premier League as it continues to emerge as one of the most valuable cricket tournaments worldwide. IPL has been a top priority for multinational brands due to its influence on the global cricketing landscape.

Becoming a sponsor in the T20 league will help brands establish themselves in the Indian market through deeper consumer engagement.
The deal is influenced by the increasing presence of artificial intelligence companies in the cricket circuit. Gemini, a major name in the AI platform market, directly competes with ChatGPT and is one of the sponsors of the 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL).
Addressing the role of WPL’s latest partnership with ChatGPT ahead of the 2026 season, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said in November 2025 (via The Economic Times), “From global leaders in AI, manufacturing and beverages to trusted Indian consumer brands, this partnership mix will play a critical role in shaping the fan experience and supporting the growth of women’s cricket.”
Last year, the Indian cricket team was in search of a new jersey sponsor after the Indian government banned real-money gaming, and Dream11 had to exit. Later, Apollo Tyres secured the Men in Blue’s jersey sponsorship rights in a deal worth INR 579 crore.
Will Google Gemini become IPL’s new title sponsor?
No, the TATA Group will continue to be the Indian Premier League (IPL) title sponsor.
What is the approximate total worth of the deal between the IPL and Gemini?
The deal is reportedly worth around INR 270 crore.
