Indian speedster Mohammed Shami is likely to miss the IPL 2024 and the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
India’s ace fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been missing cricketing action since the conclusion of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India. The right-arm fast bowler had an outstanding tournament, where he scalped 24 wickets.
However, during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India, Shami was seen in pain throughout the prestigious tournament and had some issues with his landing, but the Indian pacer didn’t let these obstacles come in his way while playing the tournament.
After this, Mohammed Shami also missed the two-match test series between India and South Africa in December 2023. The 33-year-old veteran pacer was excluded from the ongoing five-match test series against England due to his heel injury.
Mohammed Shami undergoes successful surgery in the United Kingdom

After his successful ankle injury, Mohammed Shami provided a massive update regarding his fitness and his ankle surgery.
On Monday evening, the Indian speedster Shami shared some pictures on his social media handles ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) and Instagram account, where he wrote:
“Just had a successful heel operation on my Achilles tendon. Recovery is going to take some time but looking forward to getting back on my feet,” Shami wrote on ‘X.’
