The schedule for the 2023 ODI World Cup in October–November has not been released with just over four months go.

On May 27 in Ahmedabad, during the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Special General Meeting, an internal working group would be established to oversee the organization of the 2023 ODI World Cup.

With just over four months until the October–November World Cup, the schedule has not been released, and Pakistan has not yet officially confirmed its participation in the prestigious competition.

The PTI has gained access to the five-point agenda of the SGM, which includes "Formation of Infrastructure Development and Subsidy Sub-Committee, Guidelines for Appointment of Physiotherapists and Trainers in State Teams, Formation of Working Group for ICC World Cup 2023, Formation of the committee of Women's Premier League, and Ratification of Prevention of Sexual Harassment Policy."

The board has already allocated funds for the upgradation of the infrastructure of all the stadiums zeroed in for the ODI World Cup. Most of the venues need urgent revamping and need to be made spectator friendly.

Other aspects of the Five-point agenda of the BCCI SGM agenda

The BCCI had established a four-member Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in response to the allegations of sexual harassment against former BCCI CEO Rahul Johri, but more members could be added under the new policy.

As far as committee formation for the Women's Premier League is concerned, they would need to ensure that a dedicated window for the tournament is finalized at the earliest.

This year, the Australian women's team will be playing international matches till third week of February and hence you can only start WPL after that. In case, you are looking at Diwali window, then there is men's World Cup," a franchisee official told PTI on conditions of anonymity.

The BCCI would also have an NCA-accredited support staff to be affiliated with domestic teams for a uniform fitness module and injury management program, and the hiring of physios and trainers for the state units will be a key factor.
