Ben Stokes is leading England in Ashes 2025-26.
England can land in trouble before the second test in Brisbane as captain Ben Stokes can miss out on the Gabba Test. He was seen riding an e-scooter without a helmet on the streets of Brisbane, in violation of Australian road rules, according to local media reports.
Ben Stokes was not alone in doing this activity. He was accompanied by wicketkeeper Jamie Smith and fast bowler Mark Wood. All three of them were seen riding e-scooters without helmets, days before the second Ashes 2025-26 test at the Gabba in Brisbane.
Ben Stokes violates Australia’s road rules ahead of second test in Gabba

Captain Ben Stokes and his two teammates, Jamie Smith and Mark Wood, have flouted Australia’s road rules. According to road rules in Australia, it is mandatory to wear helmets while riding e-scooters. None of the English players abided by these rules.
In the state of Queensland, it is a legal requirement to follow the road rules. The English cricketers may be fined up to 166 Australian Dollars for flouting the rules. The police action is unlikely, but the English fans would expect more sensible decision-making off the pitch from their players during an important series like the Ashes.

England look for redemption in the second test of Ashes 2025-26
After losing in Perth in a disastrous fashion, Brendon McCullum’s team is hungry for redemption. A thumping defeat would not have hurt the English as much as the way they lost in Perth did. The visitors were in a commanding position on multiple occasions on the first two days until the second innings.
Setting a target of 205, England were hoping to put Australia under pressure, but Travis Head had other plans for the day. The left-hander was in a hurry to wrap things up quickly as he smashed 123 runs off just 83 balls to lead Australia to a comfortable victory by 8 wickets. The Ben Stokes-led side cannot afford to miss the trick in Brisbane, as a 2-0 lead for Australia can be fatal for the visitors.
Will Ben Stokes play the second test against Australia in Brisbane?
Ben Stokes is likely to play the second test if the Police let him free for just a fine after he violated road rules.
Which other teammates violated road rules in Australia besides Ben Stokes?
Jamie Smith and Mark Wood were seen riding e-scooters on the streets of Brisbane with Ben Stokes, violating road rules.
