Best possible Delhi Capitals playing XI for IPL 2024 after auction

Delhi Capitals targeted many batters at the IPL 2024 auction in Dubai.
Delhi Capitals (DC) fell short miserably in absence of their captain Rishabh Pant’s in the previous IPL season. They had a dismal run with the bat and registered their first win only after consecutive 5 losses in the first half. DC under David Warner struggled badly in their batting department and failed to cross the 180 mark in the first 7 league games. Delhi Capitals ended the IPL season with 5 wins and 10 points out of their 14 league games.
Rishabh Pant most likely will be back in the Delhi camp for the upcoming season in the IPL 2024. DC were very clear about their plan during the IPL mini-auction 2024 held in Dubai. Capitals targeted the batters in the auction to strengthen their batting order. Delhi purchased Tristan Stubbs (50 Lakh), Harry Brook (4 Crore), uncapped Indian batsman Ricky Bhui (20 Lakh), Shai Hope (75 Lakh), and Kumar Kushagra (7.20 Crore), in the mini-auction.
Best possible Playing XI for Delhi Capitals after IPL 2024 auction
Delhi Capitals had their target set on Kumar Kushagra, who is rated highly in Indian domestic cricket. Sourav Ganguly also revealed that Kumar Kushagra was DC’s set target and they had planned to spend approximately 10 crores on Bokaro-based wicket-keeper batter. Delhi also purchased a right-arm pacer from Rasikh Salam Dar at a base price of 20 lakhs. They also got Jhye Richardson in their camp for 5 crores.
Delhi will be going in with their set batting openers David Warner and Prithvi Shaw. Right-arm opening batter Prithvi Shaw had a poor season with the bat, but Delhi Capitals will most likely persist with Prithvi Shaw. Mitchell Marsh may be Delhi’s number 3, he had a terrific World Cup 2023 campaign with the Australian side and scored two centuries in the mega event. New recruit Harry Brook may be tested with the role of number 4.
Captain Rishabh Pant will also be making his comeback and will bat at number 5 in the middle-order. DC management is talking highly of Kumar Kushagra, who might be tried as a finisher. Axar Patel will be the all-rounder and Kuldeep Yadav will be the lone front-line spinner in the team. Mukesh Kumar, Anrich Nortje, and Khaleel Ahmed will be taking up the responsibility in the pace bowling department.
