Australia defeated India by 10 wickets in the second BGT 2024-25 test in Adelaide.

Australian Cricket team made a remarkable comeback in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar (BGT) 2024-25, securing a dominant 10-wicket victory over India in the day-night test at the Adelaide Oval.

India, who defeated Australia in the first test in Perth, were underwhelming against the pink ball. The pace trio of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Scott Boland ran riot against the visitors, sharing all 20 wickets between them. Australia’s victory has now left the test series wide open as we move to Brisbane for the third test.

After their shambolic performance in the first test, the Australian batting lineup stood up to the task in the second game. Travis Head top-scored for the hosts with 140 runs in the first innings, while Marnus Labuschagne and Nathan McSweeney absorbed the pressure contributing 64 and 39 runs in the first innings.

Nitish Kumar Reddy was the only bright light for India, scoring 84 runs in the game and chipping in with a crucial wicket of Labuschagne. The defeat in Adelaide has raised concerns about the Indian batting lineup, which has failed in three out of four outings in the ongoing series.

Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar has recently shared his thoughts on the upcoming test in Brisbane.

Speaking to Star Sports, the legendary Indian opener noted that Australia will have momentum going into the third test against India.

Gavaskar said, “The momentum that the Indian team got in Perth was lost during the 10-day gap. Now, the momentum is with Australia because they have won this test match,

He further emphasized that the short duration between the Adelaide and Brisbane test will help Australia maintain their flow.

Gavaskar concluded, “After the Adelaide Test, a few days later, you are playing at The Gabba. So, the momentum is now with the Australian team.
