Check out the Adelaide weather forecast for the upcoming second test of the BGT 2024-25.

The Indian cricket team created history in the first test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 by becoming the first team to defeat Australia at Perth’s new Optus Stadium in a test match.

Australia, who had won four out of four matches at the Optus Stadium, produced two disastrous batting performances against the Indian bowlers in Perth. The Indian pace trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Harshit Rana led India’s charge, sharing 16 wickets across both innings between them.

The second BGT 2024-25 test will get underway on December 6, Friday, at the Adelaide Oval. The game will be a pink-ball affair. The last time these two teams met in Adelaide for a day-night test, India suffered an infamous collapse, posting their lowest-ever test total of just 36 runs.

Perth provided ideal playing conditions, with bright sunshine throughout all four days. While the pitch offered lateral movement on the first day, it became much more favorable for batting from the second day onwards.

Indian batsmen, particularly Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli, used the good batting conditions to full effect and registered excellent centuries in the second innings.

BGT 2024-25: Adelaide weather forecast for all five days of 2nd test

Rain is expected to have an impact in the initial part of the Adelaide test. A thunderstorm is forecasted on the first day of the test match, with cloudy and cool conditions, and a 40% chance of precipitation.

The second and third days will see sunny weather, with pleasant temperatures around 25°C. The fourth day of the match is forecasted to remain cloudy and overcast, and rain is predicted for the fifth day’s afternoon, with a 74% chance of precipitation.

Batting is expected to be tough once again in Adelaide given the pink ball moves considerably much more and for longer than the red ball. The pink ball is not easy to spot under lights, that is the third session of the day in a day-night test.
