BGT 2024-25: [Watch] Pitch invader hugs Virat Kohli and dances at the MCG

A  pitch invader ran onto the MCG, hugged Virat Kohli and even danced on the ground.

A bizarre moment transpired on day 2 of the third BGT 2024-25 test match at the MCG when a pitch invader sprinted on the MCG turf and spent moments with Indian superstar cricketer Virat Kohli.

As much as he seemed to be a fan of Kohli’s, this person used the MCG test as a platform to send his message that was donned on his t-shirt. This young person wore a blue shirt with the word ‘free’ and a Ukrainian flag in the front.

The incident happened during Australia’s first innings. The invader entered the playing surface from the northern end of the ground and ran towards the Indian slip cordon.

He ran past wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant and then Rohit Sharma, with the Indian captain dodging him swiftly, before halting near Virat Kohli.

He wrapped his arms around Kohli and then attempted the ‘floss’ dance. The stadium security quickly charged in and got a hold of him. The invader didn’t try to run away from them and was taken out of the playing arena.

Meanwhile, Australia have their noses well ahead at the moment. Steve Smith’s century propelled the hosts to a huge first innings total of 474 runs. In reply, India lost Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul with 51 runs on the board.

Yashasvi Jaiswal notched up his second fifty-plus score of the series, while Kohli has so far looked soild, having creamed four boundaries in his knock of 34*. India are 134/2 after 37 overs, trailing by 340 more runs.
