JUST IN: Bhuvneshwar Kumar added to India squad for last IND vs WI T20I; Arshdeep Singh doubtful

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was earlier named in India squad for New Zealand T20Is.
The Indian Cricket Team and the West Indies Cricket Team are crossing swords with each other in the five-match T20I seires. The series between the two teams is levelled at 2-2 after four games, and the action now move towards the last game, which will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, October 17.
India started the series on a high after they registered a brilliant 8-wicket win in the opening T20I. The West Indies then made a strong comeback and beat the hosts by 6 wickets in second T20I, where they made history, recording their highest chase of 250.
The third game went in favour of India, while West Indies overpowered them in fourth game. They thumped the hosts by 24 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Put into bat, West Indies posted 247 for three. In response, India fought hard but managed 223.

In what has been the lastest development, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has added Bhuvneshwar Kumar into the India squad for the last IND vs WI T20I. This came after Arshdeep Singh became doubtful of the clash due to injury, which he sustained in 4th T20I.
Kumar played his last T20I game in November 2022 against New Zealand. The 36-year-old represented India in the shortest format of international cricket for almost a decade before being dropped from the side.
Releasing official statement, BCCI stated:
The Men’s Selection Committee has added Bhuvneshwar Kumar to the India squad for the fifth Muthoot FinCorp T20I against West Indies. The final match of the ongoing T20I series will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on October 17, 2026.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was added to the squad after Arshdeep Singh sustained a blow to his bowling shoulder during the fourth T20I of the series against West Indies on Wednesday in Hyderabad. A decision on his participation for the final T20I will be taken prior to the game based on his recovery.
