2024 has been a year for the bowlers so far. Be it the test series involving Australia and West Indies, South Africa and India, and India and England, or the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 – with the aid of the pitches, both spinners and pacers have dominated the batters this year.

5. Mark Adair – 35 wickets

3. Josh Hazlewood – 39 wickets

Josh Hazlewood often flies under the radar because of being overshadowed by Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins, but the lanky speedster is just as effective. He has snared 39 wickets this year in 21 innings at an average of 18.15. He has taken two five-fors in test cricket this year.

2. Jasprit Bumrah – 42 wickets

With 42 wickets, Jasprit Bumrah has the second-most wickets in 2024 so far in international cricket. He’s taken them in only 18 innings at an average of only 12.64.

Bumrah was the Man of the Tournament in the T20 World Cup for taking 15 wickets at an economy of 4.17. Earlier in the year, he snapped 27 wickets in five test matches including two five-wicket hauls.

1. Wanindu Hasaranga – 43 wickets

Sri Lanka leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga, who plays only white-ball internationals, has the most wickets in 2024 so far. Hasaranga has taken 43 wickets in 20 games at an average of 15.69. This includes a seven-wicket haul in an ODI against Zimbabwe.
