This article will feature the list of bowlers to take 100 or more wickets across formats in international cricket.

Cricket is evolving with every passing generation. With the introduction of T20I cricket, it has grown at a rapid pace and has become the batters-dominated sport. But there are a few bowlers who have excelled and dominated the game.

With so much cricket being played every year, players tend to choose a particular format to focus on because performing in every format has become very difficult. Especially for bowlers, you need to adjust and adapt according to demands in all three formats.

However, some bowlers have shown the skillset and tasted success in tests, ODIs, and T20Is and have managed to cross the 100-wicket mark in each format. In this article, we will talk about bowlers with 100 or more wickets in all three formats of international cricket.

List of Bowlers to take 100 or more wickets in all three formats

1. Lasith Malinga (Sri Lanka)

Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga was considered one of the best T20 bowlers of all time. His pinpoint accuracy and toe-crushing yorkers were his trademark. He became the first bowler to have picked 100+ wickets in each format of the game.

He got recognition with his slingy action, and he became the nightmare for the batters. Malinga retired with 546 international wickets. He took 101 tests, 338 ODIs, and 107 T20I wickets in his career between 2004 and 2020.

2. Tim Southee (New Zealand)

Former Kiwi pacer Tim Southee also features in this elite list. In fact, he took this milestone to another level. Southee is one of the bowlers with 100+ wickets in each format. But he is the only bowler with this landmark who has played 100+ games in all three formats.

Southee retired with 776 international wickets in 394 matches across formats. He took 391 wickets in tests, 221 in ODIs, and 164 in T20Is.

Former Bangladesh captain and superstar all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is also on this list. The 38-year-old has been the face of Bangladesh cricket for almost two decades. But he is not active in international cricket now, for various reasons.

He still holds many records in international cricket. Shakib has taken the most international wickets (712) for Bangladesh. He has 246 wickets in tests, 317 in ODIs, and 149 in T20Is.

Shaheen Shah Afridi had a great start to his international career, and he took forward Pakistan’s legacy of the fast bowlers. Bowling inswinging yorkers with good pace became his trademark, which dismantled India’s top order during the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in an iconic game.

Afridi is still young and has a long way to go, but he has already taken 100+ wickets in each format. The left-arm pacer has 121 wickets in tests, 135 in ODIs, and 126 in T20Is.

5. Jasprit Bumrah (India)
