Ravindra Jadeja recently scored 516 runs in the test series against England.

After the team just finished a five-match away test series against England, Australia’s veteran pacer Brett Lee hilariously warned Indian Cricket Team star Ravindra Jadeja about his fitness.

According to him, the experienced all-rounder could only sustain an injury while executing his famous sword-wielding celebration.

According to Lee, Jadeja might hurt his rotator cuff muscle when swinging his bat during the festivities. In his most recent YouTube video, the former cricketer advised the 36-year-old not to celebrate “too hard.”

The only way I see him getting injured is doing a rotator cuff, with the way he does the sword celebration. I love it. Look after your body; don’t celebrate too hard,” Lee said on his YouTube channel.

Jadeja was excellent for India in the recent England test series. He made 516 runs in five tests, scoring one ton and five fifties. He also picked up seven wickets with his spin bowling.

Given that Jadeja is only 15 games away from achieving the incredible record of playing 100 test matches, Lee supported him to play red-ball cricket for another two years.

You know, another sort of 15 tests; it’s about two years. I think he’ll go past the 100 mark. I think he’s one of the best all-rounders that we’ve seen. 36 years of age, he’s still got a good couple of years left in him,” Lee added.

India and England played a 2-2 draw in the recent five-test series, where every test went to the fifth day.

Brett Lee gave Ravindra Jadeja even more accolades. He underlined that the seasoned player may excel in all three areas, making him a complete cricketer. He referred to Jadeja’s all-around skill as a “factory-made” cricketer.

The term we like to use is ‘factory-made cricketer.’ He has everything that a cricketer needs, and I think he ticks every single box. He does the basics right; he’s got a simple technique, no fuss. He runs in and bowls accurately; he bowls the correct line and length when needed and gets through his overs quickly,” the Australian legend stated.

Lee also hailed Ravindra Jadeja for his fitness and called him the fittest cricketer on the Indian team despite being 36 years old.

36 years of age, but the fittest. He’s the fittest in the team, he covers a lot of ground, and he prides himself on being the fittest. That is probably the reason why he never shies away from those big moments. He likes to be in the game, he’s an entertainer, and he’s probably one of the factory cricketers that if you put everything into a mix, throw it into a bucket, mix it all up, and pick out your best cricketer, Jadeja will be at the top of the list,” Lee concluded.

Ravindra Jadeja only plays ODIs and tests for India, having retired from T20Is after India’s ICC T20 World Cup 2024 win.
