Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 175 in first innings of the second IND vs WI test.

Indian Cricket Team opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has made almost every Indian cricket fan go gaga about his batting in test cricket. The special thing was yet again on the plate as he came up with the brilliant innings in the ongoing second test against the West Indies Cricket Team at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is just 23, has set the stage on fire in his short test career so far. The left-hander slammed his seventh century in the longest format of the game and made the West Indies bowlers look clueless as he batted throughout day one.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is known to hit big hundreds, yet again delivered as he played a marathon knock of 175. He was all set to hit a double ton as well but unfortunately got run out and was denied of in what could have been his third double century.

After his heroics with the bat, legendary West Indies cricketer Brian Lara, who is also in Delhi, went to Jaiswal and was seen acknowledging him for his batting. The former West Indies skipper also made a request, saying that he shouldn’t beat their bowlers badly.

“Don’t beat our bowlers that bad,” Lara told Jaiswal. In reply, the Indian opener said, “No (laughs). I am just trying.”

Yashasvi Jaiswal also shared his take on his innings, saying that he tries to keep his team first. He also added that if he gets a start, he is keen to make it into a big one. He added:

“I always put the team first, how I can play for my team and what is important for my team at that moment in time,” he said in the video.

“So I always think that, and that gives me the answer to how I can play, what shots I can play, how the wicket is, and if I’m there, I make sure that I take it as long as I can. So that is all my mindset that if I have a start, I make sure that I should make it big, just like that.”
