Cameron Green will enter IPL 2026 auction with base price of INR 2 crores.
Australian all-rounder Cameron Green has confirmed that he will be available to bowl in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 despite registering himself as a batter for the mini auction. Moreover, he also revealed his manager made a goof-up due to which his name was added to the batter’s category instead of all-rounders.
For IPL 2026 mini auction, Green has registered himself in the highest base price of INR 2 crores. Due to a back injury, he did not participate in IPL 2025 auction and missed the tournament. His last appearance came in IPL 2024, where he represented Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
Green is looking forward to making a comeback to the tournament next year. He will be one of the most sought-after players in the auction.
Cameron Green confirms his availability to bowl in IPL 2026

Speaking ahead of IPL 2026 auction, the Australian all-rounder revealed that his manager made a mistake by adding his name in the batter’s category instead of all-rounders. He also confirmed that he is fully fit to bowl in the tournament and is excited to watch the auction.
“I don’t know if my manager will like to hear this, but it was a stuff-up on his end. He didn’t mean to say batter, I think he accidentally selected the wrong box, so it was pretty funny how it’s all played out, but it’s actually a stuff-up on his end. I’ll be good to bowl,” he was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
“I’m sure I will be, with a few other guys. They’re always good fun to watch. It’s a bit of a lottery where you might go, but also who might be in your team, so it’s always been fun to watch,” he added.
The 26-year-old is currently busy in The Ashes 2025-26, where he also bowled 16 overs in the first two matches. He stated that he will be bowling more overs in the upcoming games.
“Any overs you can bank up your sleeve in the early games will be beneficial later because I’ll obviously be required later in the series when everyone’s a bit more tired. Happy to keep the overs at what they are, but I’m certain they’re going to get increased the next few games,” he further added.
Meanwhile, IPL 2026 mini-auction will take place on December 16 in Abu Dhabi. A total of 40 players are placed in the highest salary bracket of INR 2 crores, including only two Indian players Venkatesh Iyer and Ravi Bishnoi.
