Australia lost the ODI series against Bangladesh.

Australia are touring Bangladesh for a white-ball series. This includes three ODIs and T20Is each. All ODI matches were played in Mirpur, and the T20I matches are scheduled to be held in Chattogram.

Australia have lost an ODI series against Bangladesh for the first time in 21 years. They also lost the series against Pakistan before this.

Australia lost the first two ODIs by significant margins of 86 runs and 5 wickets, respectively. While they were on the verge of getting whitewashed by losing the third, Cooper Connolly scored a scintillating 149 to keep them out of trouble. They won the third match by 1 wicket.

The T20I series is scheduled to start on Wednesday, June 17. Mitchell Marsh will lead the Kangaroos, while Litton Das is the captain of Bangladesh. The three matches are slated on June 17, 19 and 21. Marsh missed the ODI series due to his ankle injury, and Josh Inglis led the Aussies. Meanwhile, Travis Head is not available for this white-ball tour due to “personal leave”.

Moreover, the Aussie pace trio have been rested to remain fit for the upcoming busy Test schedule. Now, there is a report suggesting another Aussie all-rounder is set to miss the T20I series.

Cameron Green last participated in the ODI series against Bangladesh, scoring 53, 25, and 27 runs respectively across the three matches. He bowled 12 overs in these matches but took only one wicket.

Green also played the Indian Premier League 2026, scoring 322 runs and claiming 10 wickets in 14 matches for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). His 79 against Gujarat was his highest score in IPL 2026.

As reported by CODE Sports’ journalist Daniel Cherny, Cameron Green has been withdrawn from the T20 series against Bangladesh to prepare for the Test series in August. However, there has been no official statement from Cricket Australia on the same, and no replacements have been announced yet.

Australia are set to host Bangladesh in a two-match Test series in August.
