Canada Schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Fixtures, Dates, Venues

Canada will face South Africa in their first game of ICC T20 World Cup 2026.

The cricket fraternity is preparing for the Men’s ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. On Tuesday, 25th November, the International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the complete schedule of the tournament, which will see the top 20 teams globally competing with each other for the ultimate glory.

Team India won the last edition held in the USA and West Indies, beating South Africa in a nail-biting final. They will look to defend their title at home. These teams will compete in four groups of five teams each, which will be followed by the Super Eight round.

The top four teams from Super Eight will make it to the semi-finals. Five venues in India and three venues in Sri Lanka are shortlisted to host 55 games of the tournament. Canada will be one of the teams to compete in this tournament.

This will be their second appearance in the tournament’s history as they made their debut in 2024. They won the T20 World Cup Americas Regional Qualifier 2025 to qualify for this tournament and were undefeated throughout. They will have a chance to deliver some good performance.

Canada are placed in Group D of ICC T20 World Cup 2026

Canada are part of Group D, which is probably the toughest group of four. They will play four group matches, one each against New Zealand, South Africa, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Interestingly, this is the only group where all five teams have never won the ICC T20 World Cup.

Canada will start their journey on February 9 with a game against South Africa in Ahmedabad. They will travel to Delhi for their second game against the UAE on February 13. Their final two group games will be on February 17 and 19 against New Zealand and Afghanistan, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

2. Canada vs UAE, Arun Jaitley Stadium, February 13, Delhi at 3 PM IST

3. Canada vs New Zealand, MA Chidambaram Stadium., February 17, Chennai at 11 AM IST

4. Canada vs Afghanistan, MA Chidambaram Stadium., February 19, Chennai at 7 PM IST
