India have already sealed the IND vs WI series and are 2-0 ahead.

India will face West Indies in the third and final ODI in Mullanpur on October 3. The hosts have already sealed the series after their two dominating performances in the first two games.

The second ODI in Guwahati was a high-scoring match. West Indies posted 405/7, but India chased the target with eight wickets in hand. Shubman Gill led the chase with an unbeaten 223, while Rohit Sharma also scored a century.

With the series already decided, India could make a few changes for the final game. Some players who did not feature in the first two matches could get an opportunity, while one change is forced by an injury.

Mohammed Siraj has been part of India’s ODI squad but has not played either of the first two matches. He could now get a chance in Mullanpur.

Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the final ODI after suffering a left hamstring injury during the second game. He bowled five overs and took the wicket of Keacy Carty before leaving the field.

Anshul Kamboj has replaced Prasidh in the squad after being withdrawn from the India A team. However, Siraj could be considered for the playing XI, especially after India conceded 405 runs in Guwahati.

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal in place of Shubman Gill

Gill has been in excellent form in the series. He scored a century in the first ODI before making an unbeaten 223 in Guwahati. With the series already won, India could give their captain a rest for the final match. This could allow Yashasvi Jaiswal to return to the ODI playing XI.

Jaiswal is part of the squad and has not played an ODI since the Chennai game against Afghanistan, where he scored a century. He could open alongside Rohit Sharma if Gill is rested.

1. Nitish Kumar Reddy in place of Naman Dhir

Nitish Kumar Reddy could also return to the playing XI after missing the second ODI. Naman Dhir played the second game but walked off the field after bowling the first ball of his seventh over. Reddy could therefore get another opportunity in the final match.

Who could replace Prasidh Krishna in IND vs WI 3rd ODI?

Mohammed Siraj could come into the playing XI, while Anshul Kamboj has replaced Prasidh in the squad.

Could Shubman Gill be rested for IND vs WI 3rd ODI?

Yes, India could rest Gill in the IND vs WI 3rd ODI after his big performances in the first two ODIs.
