Chris Woakes and Rocky Flintoff added in England Lions squad for unofficial test series against India A

England Lions and India A will play two four-day unofficial tests.
England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Wednesday, May 21, announced England Lions’ squad for the forthcoming unofficial test series against India A. Experienced all-rounder Chris Woakes and uncapped all-rounder Rocky Flintoff have been added to the England Lions squad.
During India A tour of England 2025, India A and England Lions will play two unofficial four-day test matches. The first unofficial test will commence on May 30 at St Lawrence Ground, Canterbury. The second unofficial test will be played at Country Ground, Northampton, from June 6 to June 9.

England Lions squad against India A- James Rew (C), Farhan Ahmed, Rehan Ahmed, Sonny Baker, Jordan Cox, Rocky Flintoff, Emilio Gay, Tom Haines, George Hill, Josh Hull, Eddie Jack, Ben McKinney, Dan Mousley, Ajeet Singh Dale, Chris Woakes.
Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already announced Indian A squad for the series. On May 16, the BCCI announced an 18-member India A squad for the series. Abhimanyu Easwaran will lead the side against England Lions. Experienced members like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shardul Thakur, and Mukesh Kumar are also part of the squad.
India A squad for unofficial test series against England Lions- Abhimanyu Easwaran (C), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Karun Nair, Dhruv Jurel (VC) (WK), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shardul Thakur, Ishan Kishan (WK), Manav Suthar, Tanush Kotian, Mukesh Kumar, Akash Deep, Harshit Rana, Anshul Kamboj, Khaleel Ahmed, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sarfaraz Khan, Tushar Deshpande, Harsh Dubey.
Notably, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan will join the squad for the second match. After the two unofficial matches against England Lions, India A team will also play a practice match against the senior Indian team. England and India are scheduled to play a five-match test series starting June 20.
