Delhi’s wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant made his India debut in 2017.

Superstar Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant turned 27 on October 4, 2024. The Uttarakhand-born cricketer is a highly loved and adored player worldwide.

Right from his junior cricket days, Pant’s explosive batting has forced the onlookers to take notice of him. Fans and experts don’t want to miss a single moment of action in which Pant is involved.

After staggering success in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL), Pant made his T20I debut in 2018, and ODI and test debuts in 2018. While he has not yet flourished in his white-ball career as expected, Pant’s records in test cricket are outstanding.

In 35 tests, he has scored 2432 runs at an average of 44, with six centuries and 11 fifties. He is the only Asian wicket-keeper in history to hit test centuries in England, Australia and South Africa.

In the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, Rishabh Pant played a crucial role in India winning one of the most famous test series in history; his scores of 97 in Sydney and 89* in Brisbane, both in the fourth innings of the test matches, are part of cricketing folklore.

The left-hander is already hailed as India’s greatest test keeper-batsman, while Adam Gilchrist, one of the greatest keeper-batters of all time, has acknowledged Pant as a more attacking batter than him.

He was earlier this year part of India’s ICC T20 World Cup 2024 title-winning team, where he made contributions as a batsman and keeper.

The story of 2024 has been his return to international cricket from a life-threatening car accident in December 2022. He cracked a century on his comeback test last month against Bangladesh in Chennai.

Wishes poured in for “comeback king” Rishabh Pant on his 27th birthday:
