MS Dhoni is currently leading Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023.
Chennai Super Kings' CEO Kasi Viswanathan spoke on captain MS Dhoni’s future in the Indian Premier League after the IPL 2023 tournament. CSK played their final home game in Chennai on Sunday against Kolkata Knight Riders in a losing effort.
As many fans show up in big numbers wearing CSK gear to support MS Dhoni during home and away matches in the 16th season of the IPL, there has been much speculation that MS Dhoni is playing his final season with Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
On Sunday, the four-time winners played Kolkata Knight Riders in their final home game of IPL 2023. Following the game, CSK management and players could be seen thanking the home crowd for their support throughout the league stage.
According to the CEO, Kasi Viswanathan, the former Indian captain might play in the upcoming season as well, and he also urged the supporters to continue their support as they have in the past.

MS Dhoni the poster boy and soul of Chennai Super Kings
Since the beginning of the lucrative IPL in 2008, the 41-year-old has served as the team's mascot for the four-time champions. The CSK captain hasn't made any official announcements regarding his retirement plans, leaving the cricket community and fans in the dark about his departure from the lucrative competition.
Dhoni, the former Indian captain, has been playing for CSK since 2008 and has earned four titles from them. Every time he plays for Csk, he is met with a magnificent reception in Chepauk.
This season, the 41-year-old has batted at the No. 8 position, playing only a few overs and attempting to drive the most of them out of the park. This is a result of his playing despite having some discomfort, notably in his knee.
On the verge of making the playoffs, CSK still needs a victory to guarantee their place in the IPL 2023 knockout rounds. They will play the Delhi Capitals in their ensuing league encounter.
