Prepare for the 16th edition of IPL 2023 with a complete guide to the teams, squads, venues, fixtures, results, standings, live telecast, and umpires.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 edition will kick-start on Friday, 31 March. It will mark a triumphant return for the bonanza competition in front of the fans. For the last few seasons, the IPL has either been played behind closed doors or in a centralized venue due to Covid-19 restrictions.

But the BCCI has decided to ensure that normality resumes from this year onwards. As a result, the game will be played all across the country – with the participating teams competing in the traditional home and away format.

The top four teams in the points table will progress into the playoff stages. There will be two qualifiers and one eliminator clash before the best teams clash in the final to crown the IPL champions. In the opening game of the tournament, defending champions Gujrat Titans will take on Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

About the League

The IPL has been one of the most exciting competitions in the world of domestic cricket since it started in 2008. The summer bonanza has taken part in multiple countries and given rise to many prominent Indian cricketers as well.

It is widely considered as one of the most lucrative and entertaining cricket leagues in the world. It’s also the most valuable one for an aspiring cricketer, having millions of viewership for every game and a passionate crowd to provide entertainment in matches that take place in the prime-time slot in India.
