But they have made quite a few changes now, adding young guns in the IPL 2026 auction. CSK are now more charged than ever, and their new recruit, Sanju Samson, whom they acquired in a trade from Rajasthan Royals (RR), had a great T20 World Cup 2026, where he won the Player of the Tournament award for his brilliant performance and is expected to replicate the same for CSK.

CSK squad for IPL 2026
CSK participated in a huge trade deal before the auctions of IPL 2026 with Rajasthan Royals. They acquired Sanju Samson in exchange for Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran. In the auction, they mainly focused on young Indian talents and some experienced bowlers.
They purchased Kartik Sharma and Prashant Veer for a very big amount, making them the highest-paid uncapped players in IPL history, and then strengthened their team with more important buys like Matt Henry, Rahul Chahar and Sarfaraz Khan.
