The AUS vs ENG match was played on Saturday in Lahore.

The sound organizing team at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, made a massive blunder when they mistakenly played the Indian national anthem for a few second instead of the Australian anthem ahead of the start of the AUS vs ENG match.

Australia and England got their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaigns underway on February 22 in Lahore, with Aussie skipper Steve Smith winning the toss and electing to bowl first on a flat pitch at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Before the start of the match, as is the tradition in ICC events, both teams lined up for their nation’s respective national anthems.

After England’s national anthem, it was time for Australia’s national anthem. However, for a couple of seconds, the Indian national anthem got played, with the words “Bharat Bhagya Vidhata” being clearly heard.

The sound organiser was quick in realising their mistake and immediately aborted the audio and then played Australian’s national anthem.
