David Warner has played over 350 matches is his T20 career.

One of the biggest surprises of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction was David Warner remaining unsold.

A global icon, Warner has been a key figure in the IPL for over a decade. The former Australian opener led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to their maiden title in 2016.

He is also regarded as one of the greatest overseas players to play in the competition, having scored 6,565 runs in 184 games at a strike rate of over 140.

Starting his career at Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) Warner holds the record of winning the prestigious Orange cap (most runs in a single edition) three times – 2015, 2017 and 2019.

The Australian legend has now taken a vital step in his career by registering for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025.

David Warner registers for PSL 2025

After going unsold at the IPL 2025 mega auction, David Warner has now registered for the PSL season 10 draft. The PSL 2025 will be played in the same window as IPL this year. The PSL announced the news on its official X account. The tweet read, “ENDING 2024 ON A HIGH. The Aussie powerhouse David Warner has registered for the #HBLPSLDraft!

The player draft ahead of the PSL 2025 will be held in Gwadar, Balochistan, with the event scheduled for January 11. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made key changes to the tournament schedule, with the PSL now set to take place from April 8 to May 19, directly overlapping with the IPL.

Warner retired from T20 internationals following Australia’s exit from the Super Eight stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. He finished the tournament with 178 runs in seven games and played his last international game against India.

Warner played 112 tests, 161 ODIs, and 110 T20Is, scoring over 18,000 runs in international cricket. His career also included 49 international centuries.
