Delhi Capitals (DC) and Gujarat Titans (GT) are locking horns in the 14th match of the Indian Premier League 2026 on Wednesday, April 8, at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Axar Patel & Co. are chasing a mammoth 211-run target in the encounter.
Notably, Pathum Nissanka and KL Rahul gave a stunning start to the chase, setting an opening stand of 76 runs. After Nissanka got out for 41 runs, DC lost Nitish Rana and Sameer Rizvi in back-to-back deliveries of Rashid Khan in the 10th over.
Later, David Miller was batting with KL Rahul. However, Miller retired hurt after the 13th over and left the field.

Notably, Miller was hit on his thumb while fielding in the first innings, but the injury was not serious. While batting, he sustained an injury on his thumb while diving to complete a quick run in the 12th over. He was seen in immense pain and eventually had to retire hurt after the 13th over.
Axar Patel came to bat after he retired, however, he lost his wicket soon. After Tristan Stubbs lost his wicket through a run-out in the 17th over, Miller returned to the crease to help DC chase the target.
In the first innings, Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler, and Washington Sundar hammered half-centuries to drive GT to a powerful total of 210/4. Mukesh Kumar picked two wickets, while Lungi Ngidi and Kuldeep Yadav got one scalp. However, DC bowlers largely failed to dominate GT batters.
While GT aim for their first victory, DC look for their third consecutive victory in IPL 2026.
