Delhi Capitals defeated Punjab Kings in their recent IPL 2023 encounter in Dharamshala.

On Saturday, May 20, Delhi Capitals will clash with Chennai Super Kings, which will mark the conclusion of the IPL 2023 season for the Delhi-based team. The David Warner-led team hasn't had a standout season thus far; they are now sitting ninth in the IPL points table with 10 points after five victories in 13 games.

Delhi defeated Punjab Kings by 15 runs in their last IPL 2023 match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. They will be hungry to beat the four-time champions Chennai Super Kings and finish their season on a positive note by maintaining their winning trend against CSK.

DC's season got off to a disappointing start as they lost their first five games. They achieved a spectacular recovery, though, by winning four of their following five games. But their back-to-back defeats to CSK and PBKS in their 11th and 12th matches, respectively, eliminated them from the competition.

DC to don special jersey in their last IPL 2023 league game

DC's season will come to a colorful conclusion as the players will be seen sporting a unique rainbow shirt in the team's final home game. Notably, the Delhi-based team donned the uniform midway through the 2022 IPL season as well.

DC’s official social media handle revealed their rainbow-colored jersey and wrote, “Ending our #IPL2023 campaign on a 🌈 note! Our boys will be donning these special threads in our last home match of the season at #QilaKotla! #YehHaiNayiDilli #DCvCSK.”

The match is crucial for CSK since they must defeat DC to advance to the playoffs and to have a chance of finishing in the top two of the IPL 2023 points table. If the MS Dhoni-led side loses their final game, their fate will be in the hands of RCB and MI as their qualification will depend on the loss of any of the two teams in their remaining fixtures.
