Devon Conway played a gritty knock of 92 runs against South Africa in Christchurch in March 2022.
Batting first, South Africa made a competitive score of 364 after Sarel Erwee slammed 108 runs. In reply, New Zealand made 293 runs with Colin de Grandhomme playing a fighting knock of 120.
The visitors made 354/9 in the second innings and set a target of 426 runs for New Zealand. While chasing, Devon Conway scored 92 runs and got his team to a solid start, but the rest of the batsmen failed to support him. South Africa won the match by 198 runs.
4. 109 vs Bangladesh, 2022
Conway recorded a brilliant century against Bangladesh in Christchurch in 2022. Batting first, New Zealand declared at 521/6 after Conway scored 109 and opener Tom Latham amassed 252 runs.
In reply, Bangladesh were bundled out for 126 and 278 (following-on). New Zealand won the one-sided clash by an innings and 117 runs.
3. 122 vs Pakistan, 2023
When New Zealand toured Pakistan in 2021, opener Devon Conway registered a breezy century during the Karachi test.
The left-hander whacked 122 off 191 balls, with 17 boundaries, which guided New Zealand to 449 in the first innings. Then Saud Shakeel played an unbeaten knock of 125, powering Pakistan to 408 in their first innings.
New Zealand then scored 277/5 in their second innings and set a target of 319 for Pakistan. The match ended in a draw as Pakistan escaped by one wicket.
2. 122 vs Bangladesh, 2022
During the Christchurch test against Bangladesh in 2022, Devon Conway made a magnificent ton, but it ended in a losing cause.
Batting first, New Zealand scored 328 runs with Conway making 122 runs off 227 deliveries, with 17 boundaries.
Bangladesh made 458 in reply with four of their batsmen notching up half-centuries. New Zealand were bundled out for just 169 in their second innings and managed to set a target of only 40 for Bangladesh, which they chased down comfortably.
1. 200 vs England, 2021
Devon Conway’s highest score yet in test cricket came on his debut against England at the Lord’s in 2021.
Batting first, Conway notched up a double ton that guided New Zealand to 378 runs. In reply, England were bundled out for 275 runs. Batting second, the Black Caps declared at 169/6 and set a target of 273 for the hosts.
The match concluded in a draw. Conway was named Player of the Match for his brilliant double century on debut. Conway is one of the seven batters in the history of test cricket to notch up a double hundred on debut.
