Indian wicket-keeper batter Dhruv Jurel and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja stole the limelight with their batting shows in first innings of the first test against the West Indies Cricket Team. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Jurel and Jadeja joined hands when KL Rahul (100) went back to the hut following a spectacular ton. The duo ensured that they didn’t let the West Indies side take the momentum as they batted with great intent, hitting them for sixes and boundaries.

Jurel and Jadeja stitched a partnership of 206 runs for the fifth wicket that completely put the West Indies side on the back foot. Their heroics with the bat helped India take a massive first innings lead of over 270 runs.

Firstly, both Jurel and Jadeja hit solid fifties and then made sure that they didn’t waste the start that they had. Both went on to hit magnificent tons as the West Indies bowlers had no clue to the carnage produced by the two middle-order batters.

Jurel hit his maiden ton in International cricket and celebrated it with a trademark ‘Army-based’ celebration as a tribute to his father. The keeper-batter ended with the innings of 125 runs off 210 balls, slamming 15 boundaries and three sixes.

On the other hand, Jadeja, who has been going through a purple patch with the bat in tests, slammed his sixth test century. He brought his ton in 168 balls and also hit six boundaries and five sixes.
