"Can't wait to see Green in Red" Dinesh Karthik reacts to Cameron Green's 100 in NZ vs AUS 1st test

Cameron Green smashed a hundred and remained unbeaten on 103 at the end of day 1 against New Zealand.
Young Australian all-rounder Cameron Green smashed counter-attacking ton, which revived troubled Australia on opening day of the first test against New Zealand after Matt Henry went all-out with his pace attack to dismantle the visitors at the Basin Reserve on Thursday. The Australian all-rounder Green cemented his place as No. 4 test batter for his side with an outstanding century against hosts New Zealandâs all-out pace assault to help his team post 279/9 on boards at the time of stumps.
The 24-year-old smashed an unbeaten 103 runs off 155 balls, including 16 boundaries. Greenâs unbeaten century helped Pat Cummins-led Australia recover from 89/4. Earlier, Green had scores of 14, 8 and 42 after replacing right-handed batter Steve Smith at No. 4 during the two-match test series between Australia and West Indies.

After Cameron Greenâs impressive knock of 103 runs on the opening day of the first test match against New Zealand, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik applauded the 24-year-oldâs century.
Both Green and Dinesh Karthik will be playing for the RCB in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). The RCB wicket-keeper batter Karthik posted a video on his âXâ (formerly Twitter) handle where he was praising his teammate Cameron Green.
âWell played Green, canât wait to see you play in RED,â Karthik said in the video posted on his X handle.

The Australian all-rounder had an impressive debut IPL season last year for Mumbai Indians (MI). Cameron Green hammered 452 runs in 16 matches at an explosive strike-rate of 160.28 including one century and two half-centuries. The all-rounder also picked up six wickets while playing for MI in the IPL 2023 edition.
However, before the IPL 2024, MI traded Cameron Greem off to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), so that they could clear their bank and trade in Hardik Pandya from GT, which they successfully did. RCB will kick-off their IPL 2024 campaign against defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the opening fixture of the IPL 2024 at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on 22nd March.
