Duleep Trophy 2025-26: Most runs and most wickets after final between Central Zone and South Zone

Central Zone defeated South Zone by six wickets in Duleep Trophy 2025-26 final.

Central Zone defeated South Zone in the final of Duleep Trophy 2025-26. After opting to bowl first, Central Zone bowled out South Zone for just 149 runs in the first innings with a five-wicket haul from Saransh Jain and a four-wicket haul from Kumar Kartikeya.

In return, Central Zone skipper Rajat Patidar (101) and Yash Rathod (194) slammed centuries to power the team’s total to 511/10. Danish Malewar (53) and Saransh Jain (67) also smacked crucial half-centuries for the team.

In the second innings, South Zone produced a better show with the bat and scored 426 runs on the board, where major contributors with the bat were Ravichandran Smaran (67), Andre Siddarth (84) and Ankit Sharma (99). However, it wasn’t enough as they managed to set a target of just 64 runs for Central Zone, which they chased down with loss of four wickets.

For scoring 194 in the first innings, Yash Rathod was adjudged Player of the Match while all-rounder Saransh Jain was named Player of the Series for taking 16 wickets and scoring 136 runs in the tournament.

Duleep Trophy 2025-26: Most runs

Central Zone captain Rajat Patidar finished as the highest run-scorer of the tournament with 382 runs in five innings. At second is his teammate Yash Rathod with 374 runs. Apart from Ayush Badoni (307 runs, at fourth spot), all of the top five highest run-scorers of the tournament were from Central Zone.

With 16 wickets, Saransh Jain finished as the highest wicket-taker in Duleep Trophy 2025-26. Gurjapneet Singh and Harsh Dubey follow him on the list with 10 wickets each. Kumar Kartikeya grabs the fourth spot with eight wickets, while Auqib Nabi occupies the fifth spot with six wickets.
