ECB is considering imposing a curfew on England players after the Ashes 2025-26.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is reviewing disciplinary rules for England Cricket Team players ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, according to reports. The Governing Body is planning to take strict steps for their players after reports of their bad behaviour off the field during the recent The Ashes 2025-26.
The England players took a break in Noosa between the second and third tests of the Ashes. According to a report by The UK Times, some England players were involved in repeated drinking sessions during the period.
Moreover, another report from The Telegraph alleged that many players visited casinos several times during the Australia tour. The public had also seen them doing these kinds of things. England ODI captain Harry Brook was involved in an altercation outside a nightclub in New Zealand after the Ashes.
During a night out, Ben Duckett was caught drunk in a video, while Jacob Bethel was seen vaping. These incidents have become a topic of discussion, and many fans are questioning their behavior outside the stadium. Their acts have come into question after their humiliating defeat in The Ashes.
Hence, the ECB is planning to place strict rules for their players ahead of the Sri Lanka tour and the T20 World Cup. Notably, similar rules were implemented in 2017 after Ben Stokes was involved in a fight at a nightclub and following an incident during the 2017-18 Ashes series.
