Shubman Gill got out for 46 runs off 39 balls in the fourth IND vs AUS T20I
The fourth T20I between Indian Cricket Team and Australian Cricket Team is currently underway at the Carrara Oval, Queensland. Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss and opted to bowl first in the encounter, where the hosts made four changes, while the Suryakumar Yadav & Co went in with the same XI as that of last game.
Openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill gave a decent start with the bat, etching an opening stand of 56 runs. While Abhishek lost his wicket for 28 runs, Gill went on to smack 46 runs off 39 runs.
Hitting four boundaries and one six, the Indian vice-captain looked in good touch following his recent batting failures and added crucial runs on the scoreboard at the start. However, after the power play, he struggled and eventually lost his wicket just a few runs ahead of his half-century as Australian pacer Nathan Ellis castled him in the 15th over.

On the very first delivery of the 15th over, Ellis bowled a slower delivery with the back-of-the-hand release. Gill tried to hit across the line but completely missed the ball, which crashed into his off-stump. With Gill getting dismissed, India were at 121/3.

Notably, this was Gillâs highest score in the series so far. He played a decent knock of an unbeaten 37 runs in the opening game, which was washed out due to rain. In the previous two games, the right-handed batter lost his wicket for 5 and 15 runs, failing to make a mark with the bat.
Losing the momentum after Gillâs dismissal, India eventually piled up 167/8 in the fourth T20I. Ellis and Adam Zampa took three wickets each to demolish the Indian batters and halt them from reaching a big total.
Meanwhile, the T20I series between Australia and India is tied 1-1 after first three matches. While the hosts won the second game by four wickets, the visitors grabbed a victory in the third game by five wickets.
