ENG vs IND: Head-to-head record in test cricket

Both nations will commence their journey in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 with the ENG vs IND series. The second test will be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham, from July 2, while the third test will begin on July 10 at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.
Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester will host the fourth test from July 23. The series will conclude with the fifth test at The Kia Oval, scheduled to be played from July 31 to August 4. In the ICC WTC 2023-25 cycle, India finished in the third spot in the points table while England ended in the fifth place.

The former right-handed batsman mustered 2535 runs in 32 games with seven centuries and 13 half-centuries. The list of top five Indian batsmen with most test runs against England also includes Sunil Gavaskar, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, and Gundappa Viswanath, all of whom account for more than 1800 runs.

Bhagwath Chandrasekhar, Anil Kumble, Bishan Singh Bedi, and Kapil Dev are other bowlers in the list of top five Indian bowlers with most test wickets against England.
