Zak Crawley called for team physio after getting hit on the fingers off Jasprit Bumrah’s delivery.

Day 3 of third test between England Cricket Team and Indian Cricket Team concluded with a lot of drama as Indian players engaged in an altercation with England opener Zak Crawley. The encounter got underway at the Lord’s on Thursday.

In the first innings, India failed to gain any lead as they were bowled out for 387, equalling England’s total in the first innings. Opener KL Rahul (100) Rishabh Pant (74) and Ravindra Jadeja (72) were the top contributors to India’s total in the first innings.

For the hosts, Chris Woakes captured a three-wicket haul while Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes hunted two wickets each. Brydon Carse and Shoaib Bashir captured one wicket each. With India finishing first innings 15 minutes before scheduled close of play on day three, they returned on the field to bowl three overs in the second innings.

However, they managed to bowl only one over as England opener Zak Crawley played antics to delay the proceedings. On fifth delivery of the first over off Jasprit Bumrah, Crawley was hit on his gloves as he tried to defend. He then called for team physio on the field.

However, Indian fielders were left frustrated with Crawley’s antics and then went on to sarcastically clap for him. Indian captain Shubman Gill was also seen gesturing towards Crawley during the over saying “Grow some balls.”

Meanwhile, England are 2/0 at stumps on day 3, and are leading by two runs.

In the first innings, England were bowled out for 387/10. Joe Root slammed a century for the hosts. Jamie Smith and Bryon Carse scored half-centuries. Jasprit Bumrah clinched a fabulous five-wicket haul for India. Mohammed Siraj and Nitish Reddy captured two wickets each.
