The hosts lead the ENG vs WI series 2-0 with the final test to go.
The England cricket team have named an unchanged XI for the third test against West Indies which will start on July 26, Friday, at Edgbaston.
Ben Stokes’ team have an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ongoing three-match test series after winning the first two tests.
In the first test at the Lord’s, England hammered the visitors by an innings and 114 runs, with fast bowler Gus Atkinson shining with 12 wickets in the game. This match was the last Test outing for England great James Anderson.
In the second test of the ENG vs WI series at Trent Bridge, the hosts won by 241 runs, courtesy of centuries from Ollie Pope, Joe Root and Harry Brook.
The third ENG vs WI Test is slated to get underway on July 26 at Edgbaston, Birmingham. On the eve of the match, the hosts named the same XI that took the field at Trent Bridge.

The naming of an unchanged XI means that the uncapped Dillon Pennington will have to continue the wait for his test debut.
England captain Stokes said that Pennington and Matthew Potts could get a chance in the next home test series against Sri Lanka.
Stokes said, “I think that will come naturally. With six Test matches, even though we’ve got a decent break with the Hundred played between that, fast bowling is very hard. So naturally we will see a change in the bowling attack. But no, not quite yet.”
West Indies have yet not named their XI. One change is expected on their side. Gudakesh Motie missed the second Test due to flu. He is expected to return to the XI at Edgbaston, possibly replacing Kevin Sinclair.
