Defending champions England are placed in the same group as South Africa in the Super 8 round.

Defending champions England have managed to stay alive in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024 tournament after Australia defeated Scotland in their Group B match. England and Scotland gained five points each but Jos Buttler’s team proceeded to the Super 8 round due to better net run rate.

The Three Lions had their campaign under threat when their first match against Scotland was washed out and they lost their second game against Australia, while Scotland won their next two games.

However, the defending champions showed their class, quality and experience with big wins over Oman and Namibia while they were done some favour by rivals Australia.

Who are England’s opponents in Super 8?

England are placed in Group 2 of the Super Eight round. They will face the USA, South Africa and the West Indies.

England’s schedule for Super 8:

In the Super Eight round, Buttler’s team will first meet on West Indies on June 19. Then they will take on South Africa on June 21, followed by a game against the USA on June 23.
