England have qualified for Super 8 round of T20 World Cup 2026 from Group C.
After defeating Italy in match 29 of T20 World Cup 2026 on February 16 (Monday), England made it to the Super 8 round of the tournament. They are part of Group C in the 20-team tournament and became the second team after West Indies to make it to the next round from their pool.
The Harry Brook & Co. avoided a defeat against Nepal in the opening game by four runs to start the tournament on a winning note. Later, they lost to the West Indies by 30 runs but defeated Scotland by five wickets in their third game.
Two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Eight round, where they will be divided into four teams of two groups- Group 1 and Group 2. Every team will play one match against the other three teams in the Super 8 stage.
England have been added to Group 2 and will play three more games. They will play their first game against Sri Lanka on February 22 (Sunday), which will the 42nd game of the tournament, to be at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele.
They will later play the 45th match on February 24 at the same venue. The Harry Brook-led side will play their last game at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday, February 27, which will be the 49th match of the tournament.
