The third ENG vs PAK Test will be played from September 9 to 13 at Edgbaston.
England have announced their squad for the third Test against Pakistan, with the selectors making one change from the last game. The upcoming match will be another important assignment for the sides, especially with ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 points at stake.
Joe Root’s second stint as Test captain has started on a great not as England have already secured the series after winning the opening two Tests and now will look to complete a clean sweep. They have been exceptional with bat and ball, and have largely dominated the series.
England thumped Pakistan by innings and 103 runs, and then followed it up with 194-run at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Their focus now will be on the third game, which will be played at the Edgbaston in Birmingham.

England have retained Sonny Baker for the third Test, while Matthew Fisher has been left out of the squad. The batting options include Root, Harry Brook, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Emilio Gay, Dan Lawrence, Jordan Cox and Jamie Smith.
Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Shoaib Bashir and Ollie Robinson headline the bowling group. Robinson, in particular, has been magical with the ball and would want to carry on his good from in last match.
The third Test will give the hosts another opportunity to collect valuable WTC points. With the teams competing across the 2025-27 championship cycle, every result contributes to their position in the standings.
