England's tour of West Indies 2023 schedule announced

England to tour West Indies for three ODIs and five T20Is in December 2023
West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has announced the schedule for the home series against England. The England Men's team will feature in three ODIs and five T20Is, starting on December 3rd later this year after the 50-over World Cup in India.
The tour begins with the three-game ODI series in Antigua, which will host the first two ODIs before the action shifts to Barbados for the final fixture. The T20I series continues at the same venue for the first match before both sides move to Grenada for the next two games, while Trinidad will stage the fourth and fifth T20I. The five-match T20I series will also serve as the ideal preparation for the 2024 T20 World Cup, set to take place in the Caribbean.
Cricket West Indies' Chief Executive Johnny Grave expects the tour to be economically beneficial for them and that it will be a good spectacle for the viewers. As quoted by the ICC, he said:
"We are delighted to be able to confirm the England match schedule and to welcome once again their many travelling fans to the region for a pre-Christmas white-ball tour. This tour will be a major economic boost to the host countries, as well as providing our fans with the chance to see some of their favourite players in action against one of our biggest rivals. The tour will also help with our ongoing venue preparation and event planning for one of the biggest events ever to be staged in the region, the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, which takes place in June next year."
England last played a T20I series in the West Indies last year, which the hosts won by a 3-2 scoreline. However, they haven't played an ODI series in the Caribbean since 2019.
