England women set to host India for first-ever women's test match at Lord's in 2026

Lord’s will host its first-ever women’s test match in 2026 between England women and India women.
The Lord’s Cricket Ground, hailed as the “Home of Cricket,” is set to host its first-ever women’s test match when England women take on India women in the summer of 2026.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced this news on August 21 when they announced the schedule for their home summer 2025.
In 2025, India men and women teams will tour England. The men will compete in a five-match test series while the women will feature in five T20Is and three ODIs. The women will return in 2026 for a one-off test.

The ECB said in a statement released on Thursday, “It has also been confirmed that India Women will return in 2026 for a one-off Test match at Lord’s – the first-ever Women’s Test to be staged at the Home of Cricket. England Women have played white-ball matches at Lord’s for the past three years, with another scheduled next year, but it will be the first time the ground has hosted a Women’s Test match.”
The ECB CEO Richard Gould said, “I’m also delighted we can confirm that India Women will return in 2026 to take on England Women in the first-ever women’s Test match at Lord’s. It will be a truly special occasion, and one of real significance.”
The historic Lord’s test in 2026 will be the 16th encounter between the two teams. India’s women’s team are ahead with three wins, while England’s women’s team have won one game and 11 tests between them have ended in a draw.
