Famous cricketers to wear jersey number #10

Sachin Tendulkar is by far the most famous cricketer to don the No. 10 jersey.
The number 10 jersey holds a huge importance in the cricketing world, especially with Sachin Tendulkar wearing the number 10 on his jersey. He is among those sporting legends such as Pele, Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi to have established the number 10 jersey as his own and elevating its prestige. BCCI even retired the number 10 in honor of Sachin Tendulkar.
Tendulkar, however, is not the only cricketing great to have worn jersey number 10. We will look at some other notable players from the past and present who have done so.
Here are some of the Famous cricketers to wear jersey number #10:
10. Craig McMillan:

Former Kiwi player Graig McMillan had worn the number 10 jersey in his career. Right-handed batter was instrumental in advancing New Zealand cricket. He played 197 ODIs, scoring over 7,000 runs in his career. Craig McMillan also represented New Zealand in eight T20 internationals, scoring 187 runs with an average of 31.2.
9. Stuart Law:

Considered to be one of the unluckiest cricketers in Australia not to have a long career for the national team, Stuart Law also donned the number 10 jersey. He played 54 ODIs and one test match for Australia, making his debut in 1994. Law made 1237 runs, even though he averaged 26.89.
8. Geraint Jones:

England keeper Geraint Jones also had No. 10 on his ODI jersey. He is known for being part of England test squad which won the historic Ashes series in 2005 against Australia. He represented England in 51 one-day internationals and 34 tests, scoring 862 and 1172 runs, respectively. He also played for the country of his birth, Papua New Guinea between 2012 and 2014.
7. Allan Donald:

Legendary pacer Allan Donald also wore number 10 on his ODI jersey during his amazing career for South Africa. He had taken a five-wicket haul on his ODI debut against India in 1991 and went on to take 272 wickets in 164 ODI matches. He also played 72 tests, securing 330 wickets with an average of 22.25. He was the first South African bowler to take 300 wickets in test cricket.
6. Peter Siddle:
Peter Siddle was a highly skilled pacer for Australia, who still continues to plays in the Big Bash League. Peter Siddle wore the number 10 jersey from 2008 until his retirement in 2019. Overall, the pacer played 67 tests and 20 ODIs, taking 221 and 17 wickets, respectively. He was also the first bowler and only bowler to take a hat-trick in test cricket on his birthday.
5. Shardul Thakur:

Young Shardul Thakur caused huge controversy as he decided to don the legendary number 10 on his ODI jersey on his India debut in 2017. This jersey has been associated with Sachin Tendulkar for so long, that fans felt offended that the legendary number 10 was worn by Shardul. BCCI received complaints on social media and Shardul showed respect by changing his jersey number. In his India career so far, Shardul has played 11 tests, 47 ODIs and 25 T20 internationals, taking 31, 65 and 33 wickets, respectively.
4. David Miller:

Certified South African white-ball legend David Miller also wears the No. 10 on his jersey. In his international cricket, David Miller has played 173 one-day internationals and 116 T20 internationals, scoring 4458 and 2268 runs respectively so far. He has hit six centuries and 16 half-centuries in ODIs and two centuries in T20Is.
3. Shaheen Afridi:

Just like his father-in-law and former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, Shaheen also sports No. 10 on his jersey. Shaheen made his international debut in a T20I game in April 2018 and since then, he has become a regular member for Pakistan across formats. He has so far played 29 tests, 53 ODIs and 57 T20Is, taking 113, 104 and 73 wickets, respectively.
2. Shahid Afridi:

Iconic Pakistani all-rounder and captain Shahid Afridi donned the No. 10 jersey throughout his illustrious career. Having made his debut in 1996, Afridi retired from the game in 2018. He played 398 one-day internationals and 99 T20 matches for Pakistan, scoring 8064 and 1416 runs. He was also a star with the ball, taking 395 wickets in ODIs and 98 wickets in T20I matches.
1. Sachin Tendulkar:

Perhaps the most famous cricketer to wear the No. 10 jersey in international cricket, Sachin Tendulkar is considered an all-time great. Tendulkar began his international cricket career by wearing the 99 number jersey before he switched to 33 number. In the end, he wore the number 10, which sounded similar to his surname.
Sachin Tendulkar also wore the number 10 while playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL. He ended with over 18000 runs in 464 ODIs with 49 centuries and was the first male batter to score a double century in ODIs.
