India won the T20I series against Australia by a margin of 2-1.

India won the five-match T20I series against Australia by a margin of 2-1 after the last game at the Gabba in Brisbane was washed out due to rain. In what was a series-decider, India were asked to bat and they had a solid start but the rain gods had other plans.

Shubman Gill (29*), who was under a lot of pressure coming into the game, looked in great touch and played some magical shots. He took the centre stage and slammed a flurry of boundaries including four in one over.

On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma (23*) batted in his usual aggressive way. Although, he got two chances, he looked unfazed by it. The duo added 52 runs for the opening stand before rain came and the game got abandoned.

This was the second washout of the series as the first game also got abandoned. However, thankfully, it was the five-match series and we got the result we wanted with Suryakumar Yadav continuing his unbeaten run in the bilateral series.

In the second T20I, Australia had the better off India in Melbourne, winning the match by four wickets. However, India made a strong comeback in the third and fourth T20Is, which ultimately helped them to win the series.

In the third match, India bagged a brilliant five-wicket win, chasing the 187-run target despite losing early wickets. Then they displayed their magic with the ball in the fourth T20I, defending a total of 167 runs to win the game by 48 runs.
