India won the second T20I against Australia by five wickets to level the series 1-1.
India made a strong comeback in the five-match series against Australia after their great performance with the bat and ball in third T20I. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side beat the hosts by five wickets at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart to level the five-match series 1-1.
Australia had a poor start to their innings as Arshdeep Singh, who made a comeback after getting dropped in last two games, removed Travis Head (6) and Josh Inglis (1) in his first two overs. However, after that Tim David (74) came out all guns blazing and was all over the Indian bowlers, slamming them all over the park.
He along with Mitchell Marsh added 59 runs for the third wicket, making sure his team recovered from the early losses. Marcus Stoinis (64) played a brutal hand at six and was supported well by Matthew Short (26*) as the duo finished innings on a high for Australia, who posted 186 for six.
India had a strong start in the chase, courtesy Abhishek Sharma (25) as he and Shubman Gill (15) added 33 runs for the opening stand. Captain Suryakumar Yadav (24) looked in great touch but couldn’t carry on the start that he had.

Australia made a slight comeback with wickets at regular intervals but Washington Sundar (49*) changed the game for India with his brilliant innings. He slammed six on the first ball that he faced and then didn’t look back, taking his team home.
Tilak Varma (29) and Jitesh Sharma (22*) also played vital hands as India won the game with five wickets in hand.
