South Africa completed a 2-0 whitewash in the test series against India as they won the second match by 408 runs at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The Proteas wrapped up the Indian innings at 140 on day five of the match to win their first test series in India after 25 years.
India resumed the day five, needing 522 runs more to win with the scorecard reading 27 for two. It was expected that they would come up with a solid fightback to draw the game. But that wasn’t the case as they had a terrible start on day five.
India lost Kuldeep Yadav, Dhruv Jurel and Rishabh Pant quickly and were reeling at 58 for five, Sai Sudharsan batted 139 balls, showing great grit, adding 37 runs with Ravindra Jadeja (54). The all-rounder fought hard and slammed a vital half-century.
But he didn’t get much support from the other end. Simon Harmer bagged a fifer as India got all out for 140, losing the game by 408 runs.

In the second innings, South Africa declared their innings at 260 with Tristan Stubbs (94) being the top run-getter. With a target of 549 to chase, India got all out for just 140, losing the match by 408 runs.
