ENG vs IND: Farokh Engineer to get a stand named after him at Old Trafford, Manchester; Set to be unveiled on first day of 4th test - Reports

Former Indian wicket-keeper Farokh Engineer will be honoured with a stand after his name at Old Trafford, Manchester, during the fourth test between England and India. The encounter will begin on Wednesday, July 23.
England lead the ongoing five-match test series 2-1. They’ll be looking to seal the series with a victory in the upcoming test in Manchester. On the other hand, India will aim for a comeback in the match, which is a must-win encounter for them. England have announced their playing XI with one change – spinner Liam Dawson replacing injured Shoaib Bashir.
Notably, India have been dealt with some big injury concerns ahead of the fourth test. To begin with, Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of remainder of the series with a knee injury. Moreover, pacers Arshdeep Singh (thumb) and Akash Deep (groin) have also been ruled out of the Manchester test due to respective injuries.

Stand after Farokh Engineer’s name to be unveiled on day 1 of the Manchester test
According to a reports in PTI, Farokh Engineer and former West Indies captain Clive Lloyd will have stands named after them at the Old Trafford, Manchester. The stand-naming ceremony will take place on day 1 of the match on July 23.
Notably, the initiative is taken by their former county club Lancashire. Both Engineer and Lloyd played for Lancashire during their career. Engineer played as a wicket-keeper for the club from 1968 to 1976. He scored 5942 runs in 175 matches.
He also took 429 catches and executed 35 stumpings for the club. During Engineer’s tenure, Lancashire won the Gillette Cup four times between 1970 and 1975. Notably, Engineer settled in Manchester City in England after his retirement.
The wicket-keeper batter played 46 tests for India and scored 2611 runs at an average of 31.08. He smacked two centuries and 16 half-centuries. In five ODIs, he hit 114 runs including one fifty. He played his last international game in 1975.
