5. Glenn Maxwell (47 Balls) vs India, Guwahati, 2023

Glenn Maxwell is among the best power hitters in white-ball cricket, and he has played some incredible innings. His fastest T20I century came against India in Guwahati, while chasing a big total of 223 runs. Batting first, India posted 222/3, with Ruturaj Gaikwad scoring 123* off 57.

Chasing the target, Australia were 68/3 when Maxwell joined the crease. He then carried in his own way and scored a 28-ball 50. But the next 50 runs came off just 19 balls. He slammed a 47-ball ton and made 104* off 48 and took Australia to 225/5 and won the game for his team. It was his fourth T20I ton.

4. Josh Inglis (47 Balls) vs India, Vizag, 2023

In the same series against India in 2023, Josh Inglis also slammed a 47-ball century. It came in first game of the series in Vizag. Though it came in a losing cause and made a big impact.

He scored an unbeaten 110 runs off 50 balls, with 11 fours and eight sixes, helping Australia reach 208/3. This was his maiden T20I century. India made 209/8, courtesy of Suryakumar Yadav’s 80 and Ishan Kishan’s 58.

3. Aaron Finch (47 Balls) vs England, Southampton, 2013

ICC T20 World Cup 2021-winning captain Aaron Finch was the first centurion for Australia in a T20 international. He slammed a hammering 156 not out against England in Southampton in 2013.

Finch slammed a century off just 47 balls and scored 156 off 63 balls, with 11 fours and 14 sixes. This innings remained as the highest individual T20I score for five years, until 2018, when Finch himself broke it with a record 172 against Zimbabwe.

2. Josh Inglis (43 Balls) vs Scotland, Edinburgh, 2024

Josh Inglis was the fifth Australian to score a T20I hundred and only the third from his country to have multiple T20I centuries. His second T20I ton came against Scotland in 2024 in Edinburgh.

Inglis slammed a 43-ball century and scored 103 runs off 49 balls, with seven fours and seven sixes. His counter-attacking innings helped Australia win the game by 71 runs, and he won Man of the Match award.

1. Tim David (37 Balls) vs West Indies, Basseterre, 2025

All the previous records were broken when Tim David slammed a lightning-quick ton against West Indies at Warner Park during a massive chase in 2025. Australia had a target of 215 to chase, and David came to the crease when they were 61/3.

David slammed a 16-ball fifty and reached his century off 37 balls. He recorded the fastest T20I fifty and hundred for Australia in the same innings. He made 102* runs off 37 balls, with six fours and 11 sixes, and won Player of the Match award.
