Batting in test cricket is one of the most challenging things to do in the sporting world as to make a big score, a batsman has to withstand a bowling attack for hours in the heat. And not just a century, more often a batsman has to bat across days to amass a score over 200.

The Indian cricket team has a rich cricketing history in the longest format. From the legendary Sunil Gavaskar to Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and modern-day legend Virat Kohli, all these batsmen have established their legacy in the longest format through match-winning knocks where they doubled up their centuries.

There have also been Indian batsmen who have unleashed their beast mode and raced to a double ton. On that note, let’s take a look at the top seven fastest double centuries by Indian batters in the longest format.
